Elysian Dragonstooth Stout

Appearance: Dark as night. Nice, medium bodied head – dissipated after 5 minutes or so. Thick at first, and mocha colored.

Smell:  Classic stout smell. Nutty. Dark Chocolate.

Taste: Delicious. Heavy coffee flavors. Dark chocolate as well. Love it!

Drinkability: For a stout – very drinkable. Kinda heavy – but delicious.

ABV: 7.45%

What a great stout! I love this beer – had it for the first time on draft at Ben and Nicks in Rockridge. A beer bar that has probably a dozen or so specialty craft brews – this was the only beer I drank all night. Heavy notes of coffee and chocolate, with slight vanilla undertones. Drink it on it’s own and you’ll be thrilled – or maybe pair it with a nice desert. Ice Cream? Mmmm…
